Radical Jewellery Makeover on 612ABC Brisbane

Luise Straker from 612ABC Brisbane visited the jewellery studios over at the Qld College of Art to see the jewellers in action, transforming the jewellery donations into exciting new pieces.
Check out Luise's article over here.

Some of the artisan staff have donated jewellery and are excited to see some of their donations in the finished pieces.

Come and see the finished pieces for yourself at the Radical Jewellery Makeover opening tonight in the UAP sponsored Crucible gallery space here at artisan from 6:00pm.

The exhibition continues until the 28th of August.

Porcelain Perfection

Do you treasure teacups? Perhaps you have a few vintage teacups that sit and collect dust because they are too precious to be used?

Don't leave lonely teacups locked away where they can't be seen! Simply bring them over to us at (m)art and we will have our famed Melbourne based artist Gregory Bonasera give them the spotlight they deserve!

Gregory Bonasera revolutionizes lighting with these adorable hanging teacup light fittings. Available as a single or in a trio, these will look super sweet hanging from your kitchen ceiling.

Gregory Bonasera also manages to bring bones to life with his stunning porcelain animal bone interpretations. You could own anything as quirky as a glazed porcelain cow horn, or perhaps you'd prefer a keep sake porcelain sheep's femur?

So don't be sheepish, get a moo-ve on and come to see for yourself the amazing designs of Gregory Bonasera at either our South Bank or Fortitude Valley Stores.

(m)art Fortitude Valley has filled it's windows with wonderful winter woolies!

The winter windows showcase new stock including Sonia Marmotta's range of feather bolero burlesque-esque capes, Seven Dandelions woodlands birds lamp and Gaye Abandon's fun felted armies (fingerless gloves/mittens), scarves and purses. And so that the south siders don't miss out, a range of Gaye Abandon's felted goodies will also be available at (m)art South Bank.

We are absolutely smitten with the fingerless mittens, so get in quick to snap up your pair before the artisan staff do!!

Phoebe Lamps

Who has the time or money these days to keep up with a constantly shifting fashion? There is nothing worse than buying a lamp in fire engine red only to discover that in fact red is now dead, and it's mauve that's in Vogue! How embarrassing...

Fret no more - Peter Harding has developed an inexpensive way to keep up with design trends with the innovative Phoebe lamp. Featuring a highly adaptable insert feature, you can change the colour of your Phoebe lamp as often as you change your underwear. You can insert anything you like between those two sheets of ingenious plastic from fabrics or Japanese paper to bus tickets...

Phoebe lamps... never get left behind again!

Available now at both (m)art design store Fortitude Valley and (m)art design store South Bank.
