ArtStart grants - Applications close 2 March !

Applications are now open for the latest round of ArtStart grants, administered by the Australia Council for the Arts. The grants – dubbed as ‘career fertiliser’– gives artists who have graduated from an accredited artist-training scheme within the last three years up to $10,000 to help their transition from studying to a professional arts career.

Every ArtStart grant is tailor-made by the individual artist identifying the key elements needed to build their career. This could be getting someone to help with a business plan, setting up a website, training in writing grant applications, attending industry events, mentorship fees, or a combination of any of these things and more.

Those interested in applying or for more information, can check out www.artstartgrant.com.au or follow on Twitter and Facebook for great application tips and advice from the ArtStart community.

This round closes on March 2, 2011 but there is another round closing September 27, 2011.

Keep in mind, it's never too early to start planning an application!
